What is the Montana Outdoor Expo?

The Montana Outdoor Expo is a trade show celebrating outdoor activities, wildlife conservation, and education. It's hosted by the Montana Outfitters and Guides Association and features a wide range of vendors, entertainment, and educational opportunities.

When and where is the expo taking place?

The expo is scheduled from March 21st to March 23rd, 2025, at the Butte Civic Center in Butte, Montana.

How much are raffle tickets?

Raffle tickets are $20 or 6 for $100. 4 chances to win (do not need to present to win)

Hunter Prize (2-day guided upland bird for 2)

Angler Prize (1-day guided fly-fishing for 2)

Whitewater Prize (half day rafting trip for 4)

Wrangler Prize (half day trail ride for 4).

Tickets can be purchased onsite or through the link on our website.

What are the operating hours?

  • Friday: Doors open at 12 PM, close at 8 PM.

  • Saturday: Doors open at 9 AM, close at 6 PM.

  • Sunday: Doors open at 9 AM, close at 4 PM.

What can attendees expect at the expo?

  • Over 70+ vendor positions with products ranging from guns and gear to fishing equipment and outdoor apparel. Also premier outfitters and guides for booking in 2025 and beyond.

  • Educational sessions supported by MT Fish, Wildlife & Parks, and Forest Service.

  • Seminars: tracking, ROBO Bear Attack simulator, and more!

  • Food vendors, truck sales, camping equipment displays, and conservation nonprofit booths.

Is there a vendor setup schedule?

  • Vendors can set up on Thursday, March 21st, from 8 AM until complete.

  • Vendors can start cleaning up by 4 PM on Sunday and have Monday morning to clear the venue.

What special events are happening?

  • Select exhibitors will be doing daily giveaways with purchase of a booth item.

    • A major raffle with four prizes, including a big game hunt, fishing trip, whitewater adventure, and trail ride. (DO NOT NEED TO PRESENT TO WIN)

How can I contact the event organizers?

What is the purpose of the raffle?

All proceeds from the raffles support Big Hearts under the Big Sky, a nonprofit aiding veteran, children with terminal illnesses, and conservation education programs.

Can I bring my own gear to the expo?

Please check with our event guidelines or contact us directly for specifics on what you can bring. No firearms.

Is there parking available?

Yes, the Butte Civic Center has over 2,000 parking spots with 40+ ADA parking at the entrance.
